DELIVERY COSTS  
 
How Much Does Delivery Cost?
 
Delivery fees will vary depending upon which gift you choose and where you are sending it to. Delivery to major capital cities is generally between $8.00 and $21.00 while delivery to regional locations will generally vary from $15.00 to $40.00. Individual delivery fees are displayed with each product.  
 
How Do I Know How Much You Will Charge For Shipping ?
 
Each product has a "Delivery Location" drop down listing all delivery areas within Australia and relevant delivery charges for that product. This way you can work-out the shipping rate without having to "Add to Cart".
 
 
Please note that each option lists the fastest delivery schedule that can be offered for that product to each location. Each of these delivery schedules is restricted by cut-off times which are stated in the Shipping Info link displayed lower down on the product page.
 
What If I Cannot Figure Out Which Area My Delivery Location Falls Into?
 
Simply select "Manual Delivery Costs" from the drop down options for delivery fee. This means you will be charged $20.00 for delivery when your order is placed and one of our staff will contact you if you ultimately need to pay an alternative amount for delivery.
 
If I Am Ordering More Than One Gift Going To The Same Location Do I Pay More Than One Delivery Fee?
 
If you select a number of gifts with product codes that start with the same two letters e.g. BB105 and BB123, we can generally discount your delivery fee or charge only one fee etc. Please contact us on 1300 794 262 or help@giftbasket.com.au if you would like us to determine whether a delivery fee discount is possible.
 
Please note however if each product ordered has product codes starting with differing letters e.g. CB104, BB073 and MB023, these products will be dispatched from different locations and therefore will need to have a delivery fee charged for each and will also be delivered at different times.
 
Can I Get Discounts On Delivery If I Am Ordering A Number Of Gift Baskets Going To Different Addresses?
 
If each gift within an order is to be delivered to different locations then each gift will need to be charged with an individual delivery fee regardless of whether the order is for 2 or 200. Our delivery fees to you are simply what our couriers charge us with no additional margin added in and therefore we are unable to offer a discount in this regard.
 
DELIVERY SCHEDULES
 
How Long Will Delivery Take?
 
Delivery time frames will vary dependant upon which product has been selected, where it is going to and what time the order has been placed. Each product displayed on our site has individual Shipping Information listed with it which can be accessed via the Shipping Info link towards the bottom of each product page. Delivery of most products going to a capital city can generally be done on a Same or Next business day basis while delivery to regional locations will take 2-4 days on average.
 
What Time Will My Delivery Be Made?
 
Deliveries to business addresses will be made during business hours i.e. between 9am and 5.30pm while deliveries to home addresses, hospitals and hotels can be made as early as 7am through to 7pm although most will be during business hours also.
 
Please note that most hospitals require that we deliver to reception, mail room or nurses station meaning that while we may deliver the gift to the hospital at a certain time, it may ultimately be another few hours before hospital staff deliver it to your recipient. As such sometimes deliveries may not be received until 9pm at night.  
 
Can I Request A Time To Have My Delivery Made?
 
We are unable to guarantee delivery times however you are welcome to suggest a preferred delivery time. We will then mark this on the box for the delivering courier to refer to and they will endeavour to accommodate you request if possible.
 
The Product I Like Is In "Next Day Brisbane" Can I Have It Sent To Perth?
 
As a general rule all of our products with the exception of Balloons, can be shipped Australia wide. The site allows customers to search by key delivery location and delivery time to help our clients save on delivery costs and enable the gift to get to the recipient sooner. However most gifts can certainly be sent to other locations. e.g. If you found your required product on the Brisbane Same Day page, you should still be able to have it delivered to Perth although the delivery schedule and fee will be different to that for Brisbane. 
 
Do You Deliver On Saturdays?
 
We can only deliver flowers on Saturdays if ordered by 10am Saturday morning, a small selection of gift baskets as displayed on our "Gifts Same Day (Australia Wide)" page (ideally these baskets need to be ordered by 4pm on Friday). Alternatively, gifts with a product code starting with CB e.g. CB023, can be delivered to Sydney on Saturdays if the order is placed before 4.30pm on Friday.
 
All other products are delivered on a business day schedule only.  
 
Do You Deliver On Sundays OR Public Holidays?
 
We do not deliver on Sunday's or Public Holidays however we do make flower deliveries on the Sunday of Mother's Day to most locations.
 
DELIVERY PROCEDURES
 
What Information Do You Need To Make The Delivery?  
 
As much information as you have available. The more information you have, the less likely the courier will experience any problems. At a minimum we need name, street address (including street number), suburb and state for your delivery. If delivery is being made to a business then we will need to know the business name as well as level number or suite number the business is in. A phone number for your recipient is always appreciated if we or the courier are experiencing difficulty with your delivery.
 
Can I Send A Delivery To A Post Office Box (PO Box)?
 
We can deliver gift baskets to PO Boxes in most instances although we prefer to deliver to an actual address. Please note that as delivery to PO Boxes can only be done via Australia Post and not with a courier service, we cannot guarantee delivery day.
 
Please note that we cannot deliver flowers to a PO Box.
 
What Will Happen If My Recipient Is Not There When The Delivery Is Made? 
 
Our order form gives you three options to choose from if this is the case -
 
a. Leave it at the front door - If you are familiar with the property and know that there is a place at the front of the property that the gift can be left without being obvious from the street, is protected from the weather and pets, simply select this option and advise us in the Special Delivery Instructions field as to where you suggest the gift be left if no one is home.
 
Please note that gifts will not be left at the front of units as a general rule as they are not safe from passing traffic.
 
b. Leave a card - The courier can leave a calling card on the front door or in the letterbox to advise that a delivery has been attempted. Your recipient can then contact the courier directly to organise an alternative delivery time that will be more convenient to them.
 
c. Leave it to the courier's discretion - This way the courier can choose to leave a card or leave the gift depending upon how safe (s)he feels it would be to leave the gift at the property.
 
Where Is My Gift Sent From? 
 
Our gifts and flowers are dispatched from multiple locations around Australia which is why our delivery schedules are so varied depending upon product selected and delivery location.
 
Who Will My Gift Be Delivered By? 
 
Most of our deliveries are made by third party courier firms such as Australian Air Express, Couriers Please or Fastway. 
 
DELIVERY PROBLEMS
 
What Happens If My Delivery Is Not Made On The Day I Requested?
 
If you are advised by your recipient or are concerned that your order has not been delivered as requested, please contact us on 1300 794 262 or help@giftbasket.com.au and we will follow up your order with the courier service to determine the reason for the delay.
 
What If I Need To Change The Delivery Address Or Other Details After I Have Placed The Order?
 
Please let us know as soon as possible of the change on 1300 794 262 or help@giftbasket.com.au. If your gift has already been dispatched we will track it's location and then request the altered delivery location with the courier if not already delivered.
 
Please note that the courier service will generally need to re-process the delivery through to another depot etc and therefore a second delivery fee may be required.
 
What Happens If The Gift Is Wrong Or Damaged When It Is Received? 
 
Please contact us immediately on 1300 794 262 or help@giftbasket.com.au and we will discuss this with all the relevant staff / suppliers to resolve the matter for you as quickly as possible.
 
What Happens If I Need To Cancel My Order? 
 
Please contact us immediately on 1300 794 262 or help@giftbasket.com.au. If your order has not been shipped then we will be able to refund you in full however if your order has been dispatched we are only able to refund you your order value less the delivery fee x 2 (unfortunately all courier firms will charge us for delivery going to your delivery address and returning to our warehouse regardless of whether or not the delivery was completed to your delivery address).  
 
DELIVERY TO HOSPITALS
 
If Delivering To A Hospital, What Happens If I Don't Know The Ward Number?
 
We will contact the hospital ourselves to determine that your recipient is definately admitted to the hospital and get their delivery instructions in regards to your recipient.
 
What Happens If My Recipient Is Discharged From The Hospital Before My Order Is Delivered?
 
Please let us know as soon as possible so that we may intercept the order before delivery is made. We can then organise for the gift to be delivered to an alternative address if required. Please note that the courier service will generally need to re-process the delivery through to another depot etc and therefore a second delivery fee may be required.
 
Please note that once a delivery is made to a hospital it can be difficult to retrieve the gift.
 
If Delivering To A Hospital, What Happens If I Don't Know The Hospital Address?
 
Simply ensure you are certain of the hospital name and particularly if it is a public or private hospital (many hospitals have both in different locations e.g. St George Public Hospital and St George Private Hospital) and also advise us of which suburb and state the hospital is in and we will take care of the rest.
 
OVERSEAS DELIVERY 
 
Can I Get Gifts Delivered By Giftbasket.com.au Outside Australia? 
 
Currently we do not offer a delivery service of gift baskets to countries other than Australia however we do offer a flower and gift delivery service to New Zealand via our website www.flowersales.co.nz and a flower delivery service to the UK, US, Hong Kong, South Africa, France, Ireland, Malaysia, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Greece and China via our website www.flowersales.com.au.
